Since solar panel output can vary significantly depending on weather conditions, it is recommended to connect solar panels with a power rating up to 1.5 times the MPPT's nominal power to ensure optimal performance.

Can SolarFlow 800 work with solar panels from other brands?

Yes, as long as the operating voltage is between 14V and 55V. Do not exceed 55V to avoid permanent damage.

Why does SF800 automatically start when connected to the grid and cannot be turned off manually?

Grid safety requirements: Maintaining grid monitoring and protection functions

The grid-tied inverter must continuously monitor the grid status to comply with international and national safety standards (e.g., VDE-AR-N 4105 in Germany and UL 1741 in the United States).

Even when the inverter stops supplying power to the grid, it needs to remain in a low-power standby mode to monitor the grid’s status and detect when it becomes stable again. Once the grid is stable, the inverter can automatically restart and synchronize with the grid.

If the inverter were to completely power off, it would not be able to detect the grid status, potentially leading to delays in grid reconnection or incorrect operation when the grid recovers.

How does the SolarFlow 800 withstand high temperatures?
